Did you know that August 2 was the day that the Declaration of Independence was officially signed? It's also the day that TurriNYC held an event for designers and media at its Fulton Street showroom. From classical to contemporary, the Italian luxury furniture on display impressed the savvy crowd. Hand cutting and sewing, hand carving, hand finishing and hand decoration, including more than 24 inlaid veneers in a chest of drawers, bespeak heirloom-quality craftsmanship with techniques that have been handed down through the Turri family for generations. Smooth, quiet drawer glides, leather lining and a myriad of customization options make these pieces ideally suited to the modern lifestyle.
